Unit Map
This is my unit plan entitled Power Dynamics. The lessons in this unit cover imperialism and various revolutions that occurred around the world. I chose to focus on the Mexican Revolution and the Haitian revolution in two of my lessons. In addition, there are two lessons on the effects of Imperialism in Africa and Asia. This is intentionally done in order to help students gain a well-rounded, not just European centric, understanding of the world. Click the button below to access the unit map.
Curriculum Map
This curriculum map is my year-long plan for world history. This is a tentative plan based on North Carolina World History Essential Standards and the C3 standards. This is a thematic approach to world history cirriculum. Please click the button below to access the curriculum map.
Lesson Plans
These three lesson plans are all focused on the Haitian, Mexican, and French revolution. They are designed to satisfy North Carolina's essential standard for revolution in world history. These lessons incorporate technology, group work, and primary source work. There is a limited lecture in an effort to captivate student's attention and to allow them to have a sense of agency with their learning.
